Expand your professional portfolio as a Buyer (Purchaser) with our client in Greenville, SC. The Buyer, leads the development and execution of purchasing processes within the Materials Management Organization. Purchasing through negotiation, plan development, and execution. As a Buyer, you will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving a commercial advantage through achievement of quality, delivery, and cost targets. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and effect short-term and long-term business goals. This is a contract position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree OR

a high school diploma /GED and with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials planning, inventory management or warehouse/distribution centers.

• 4 years of experience in Buyer, Purchasing, or Scheduler position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.

• Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activities

and ensure on-time delivery.

• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes

and cancelations.

• Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.

• Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategic

sourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.

• Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment

terms and cash flow improvements.

• Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.

• Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.
