Overview

A high-profile entertainment client is seeking a Product Owner to support a key internal application used by its Legal department. This role will serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, owning the vision and execution of a tool that streamlines legal contract management and related workflows.

This tool is part of a larger suite of custom-built platforms that enable creative productions to be completed on time and within budget. In this position, you’ll work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions that support critical legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead product owner and subject matter expert for an internal legal workflow application.
• Own and maintain the product vision, roadmap, milestones, and a prioritized backlog of features.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories and documentation (e.g., PRDs).
• Conduct refinement sessions, manage Jira boards, and support sprint planning.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including engineering, design, and data teams.
• Leverage data and feedback to inform product decisions and measure success.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in product or project management.
• Hands-on experience with Jira (story writing, board management).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully launch products or major features.
• Experience translating business needs into well-structured documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working in ambiguity and driving outcomes independently.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting legal operations or related business functions.
• Background in production or media workflows (a plus, but not required).
