DNI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist I to join our finance team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals beginning their career in government contracting and financial operations. The Billing Specialist I will prepare and submit invoices for Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) federal contracts, under the guidance of senior staff

The Billing Specialist I role requires someone with strong critical thinking, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to handle multiple tasks, and the ability to work independently or in a group setting. This person must also demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. This role requires team collaboration to achieve common goals. Ethical standards must be upheld in all interactions and transactions within the accounting department.
Equipment/Systems:
This position requires a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. This is a largely sedentary role that primarily requires sitting at a desk in front of a computer for long periods of time. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, semi-remote position working 40 hours per week. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
